Cancer care through the Tata Memorial Centre
The Tata Memorial Centre is an aided institution of the Department of Atomic Energy. The Minister told Parliament on 18 December 2025 that 11 TMC hospitals had been set up since 2014, and that the National Cancer Grid links more than 300 hospitals. A 200-bed Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital on the NISER campus in Odisha was listed in March 2026 as due for commissioning in May 2026.

The Indian Tsunami Early Warning Centre at INCOIS has operated since 15 October 2007. It detects tsunamigenic earthquakes within 10 minutes and monitored 145 events of magnitude 6.5 or more in five years (reply of February 2026).
